Prince Harry was delighted to announce his engagement to Meghan Markle in November 2017, and the royal wedding has caused much excitement among fans with the date set for May 2018.
And while the happy news has delighted the nation, as with Prince William’s wedding to Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, the event has been tinged with sadness over the fact their late mother, much loved Princess Diana, won’t be able to attend the special day.
However, there are subtle ways in which the couple plan to pay tribute to Diana on the big day, and ensure her memory lives on…

Prince Harry has ensured Diana’s side of the family is set to play an integral role to proceedings, including her brother Charles Earl Spencer and Lady Sarah McCorquodale.
In an official statement, Kensington Palace said: “Prince Harry is also keen to involve his mother’s family in his wedding.
“All three siblings of Diana, Princess of Wales will be in attendance and Lady Jane Fellowes will give the reading.
“Prince Harry and Ms. Markle both feel honoured that Lady Jane will be representing her family and helping to celebrate the memory of the late Princess on the wedding day.”

There is suggestion that Meghan could wear the same tiara Princess Diana wore on her wedding day, back in 1981 to Prince Charles.
Their floral arrangements look set to nod to Diana too, with blooms including white garden roses in her memory.
