Stephen King wanted a scene added to ‘It: Chapter Two’ after reading the script — and he got it

  • Author Stephen King had some suggestions for "It: Chapter Two" director Andy Muschietti after reading the script.
  • "I wanted him closer this time," Muschietti said of King in an interview with Business Insider. "We started talking after he saw the first one [2017's "It"] and having this dialogue. The relationship became tighter."
  • One of the scenes from his book that King asked be included is when a giant Paul Bunyan statue attacks Richie.
